Joy E. Johnson

Joy E. Johnson, M.S. Ed, CPRP, currently serves as the Senior Communications & Marketing Specialist for James City County, managing communications, media relations, and marketing strategies. With extensive experience in various roles such as Marketing Coordinator and Assistant Director of Communications, Joy has developed and implemented innovative marketing plans and coordinated numerous community events. A graduate of Old Dominion University with a Master's in Education and a Bachelor's in Sport Management, Joy has demonstrated leadership in volunteer management, customer service, and partnership development across multiple organizations, including Christopher Newport University and the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum.
