Edgar Schmidt

Edgar Schmidt serves as the Global Director of Lean Processes and Training at James Hardie Building Products since September 2019, following a progressive career within the same organization starting as a Process Engineer in February 2004. Prior roles include Director of Lean and Continuous Improvement in Sales Operations and various engineering positions focused on performance improvement and system management across multiple manufacturing sites. Key achievements encompass a 75% reduction in downtime across seven manufacturing lines, development of analytical tools for performance tracking, and the creation of knowledge management systems across multiple plants. Edgar holds a Specialist degree in Operations Management from IESA and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from IUPFAN.
