Megan Hightower is an experienced educator with a background in teaching and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Teacher Coach/Trainer at James Irwin Charter Schools since August 2009, Megan supports elementary teaching staff in enhancing reading and writing skills while also contributing to the development of history and science curricula. Previously, as a Third Grade Lead Teacher, Megan supervised a team of 7-8 teachers, providing lesson planning guidance and facilitating communication with parents and students. Megan began their career as a Third Grade Teacher, instructing a classroom of 27-30 students across all subjects. Additionally, Megan gained experience in counseling as a Student Counselor at the University of the Rockies from October 2013 to September 2014 while pursuing a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Hillsdale College.
