Angela Lewis

Angela Lewis currently serves as Vice Provost and Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives at East Tennessee State University, a role held since August 2009. Additionally, Angela has held various leadership positions at the university, including Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, Interim Dean of the College of Education, and Associate Dean/Professor. Angela was also an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow at James Madison University during the 2016-2017 academic year. Prior to these roles, Angela chaired the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at East Tennessee State University from August 2004 to June 2009. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Human Ecology with a focus on Retail and Consumer Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, along with master's and bachelor's degrees from Middle Tennessee State University in Career and Technical Education and Family and Consumer Sciences/Home Economics, respectively.
