Carter Cheves

Carter Cheves is an accomplished golf coach with extensive experience in collegiate athletics. Currently serving as the Head Men’s Golf Coach and Associate Head Coach at James Madison University since June 2019, Carter has effectively directed all aspects of a Division 1 golf program, including budget management, individual and team instruction, and student-athlete development. Previous coaching roles include Head Men’s Golf Coach at Ohio University and Assistant Men’s Golf Coach at James Madison University. Additionally, Carter has served as Tournament Director for the Joe Cheves Junior Invitational and Head Men's Golf Coach at Western Carolina University. Educationally, Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
