Gene Tracey has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Gene started their career at JPMorgan Chase as a Senior Helpdesk Analyst from May 1995 to February 2005, where they monitored and reported customer application issues and served as a project lead for internal call tracking database application development.
Gene then transitioned to the role of Senior QA Analyst at JPMorgan Chase from 2002 to 2007, participating in requirements and development walkthroughs, developing test plans, and interacting with outside vendors, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and developers to develop test requirements.
After that, Gene worked at CME Group, first as a QA Lead from November 2007 to January 2011, where they decomposed requirements, conducted various tests on a web-based application, and analyzed and verified data in Oracle databases. Gene then became a QA Manager at CME Group from January 2011 to June 2014, proactively managing project scope, reporting QA testing metrics to upper management, and analyzing QA budgets and staffing needs.
Following their time at CME Group, Gene joined Stats Perform in April 2015 as a Senior QA Software Engineer. There, they worked on web application projects in an agile environment and transitioned to a full-time automation role, developing automation suites of tests using Selenium, Cucumber, Java, Jenkins, GitHub, etc. These tests were developed and run daily for five different web applications. Gene stayed with Stats Perform until April 2020.
Most recently, Gene has joined JAMIS Software Corporation as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer starting in August 2020.
Gene Tracey obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Business/Commerce, General from Morton College from 1988 to 1990. Gene then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, Finance from Illinois State University, which they completed from 1990 to 1993. In terms of additional certifications, Gene Tracey obtained a Real Estate Managing Broker (IL) certification from Illinois REALTORS® in February 2004 and a Real Estate Broker (FL) certification from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in April 2020.
