Elizabeth Laporte

Elizabeth Laporte serves as the Vice President of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Northern CA Chapter since January 2025 and has been a mediator, arbitrator, and special master at JAMS since November 2019. With over 20 years of experience as a magistrate judge in the Northern District of California, Elizabeth presided over significant civil cases, excelling in alternative dispute resolution and handling numerous settlement conferences and discovery disputes. Past roles include Chief United States Magistrate Judge and Chief of Special Litigation at the San Francisco City Attorney's Office. Elizabeth holds a Doctor of Law from Yale University, a Master of Arts from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.
