Tomas de Backer

Tomas De Backer is an experienced Project Marine Environmental Manager currently working at Jan De Nul Group since September 2018, where responsibilities include the organization and implementation of environmental monitoring on various global projects. Prior experience includes a role as a Site Engineer in the Marine Environmental Department at Jan De Nul Group and a position as a Lead Bartender at Belfort stadscafé from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, an internship as an Environmental Consultant at Vernaza Grafic occurred in 2017. Academically, Tomas De Backer obtained a Master of Science in Bioscience Engineering with a focus on Environmental Technology from Ghent University (2016-2018) and a Bachelor's degree in Bioscience Engineering from the same institution (2013-2016), following general secondary education with a focus on Mathematics and Life Sciences at Koninklijk Lyceum Aalst (2007-2013).
