Jodi Canady has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jodi started their career in 1986 as a Store Detective/Loss Prevention at Hornes Department Store, where they conducted theft investigations, apprehended shoplifters, and enforced safety regulations. Jodi then moved on to work as a Deputy Sheriff at the Beaver County Sheriff's Office before becoming a Police Officer at the Baden Police Department in 1988. In 1990, Jodi became a Narcotics Agent at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and held various roles within the Bureau of Narcotics Investigation until 2018, including Supervisory Narcotics Agent and Regional Director. During their time at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, they played a significant role in combating the Opioid Epidemic by developing the LEAD program and providing training to law enforcement officers on offering addiction treatment.
In 2017, Jodi transitioned into the beauty industry and joined Clarins Group as a Brand Representative. In this role, they provided product training to store staff, gave spa facials and makeup applications, and built brand awareness in various retail locations. Jodi also organized innovative pop-up events and collaborated with event teams to maximize product exposure and sales. Jodi was highly valued by store management for their training and coaching skills, as well as their ability to create high-performance sales teams.
After working at Clarins Group, Jodi joined Coty as a Retail Brand Ambassador for Gucci Makeup and Philosophy Cosmetics & Coty Fragrance. In these positions, they provided luxury facials, makeup applications, and helped customers select fragrances. Jodi continued to work in Ulta Beauty locations and gained expertise in skincare and fragrance.
In 2021, Jodi joined Beekman 1802 as a Brand Associate, where they contributed to the brand's success in sales and customer engagement. Jodi later became an Account Training Coordinator, responsible for training account coordination. Jodi continued to excel in training and coordination roles, and in 2023, they joined Jan Marini Skin Research as a Sales Specialist.
Jodi Canady obtained an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the Community College of Beaver County in 1988. Jodi also holds several certifications including Clandestine Lab Operations Certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Firearms Instructor Certification from the National Rifle Association, Pennsylvania Police Certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Practical Kinesic Interview and Interrogation from Stan B. Walters & Associates, Inc., and Wiretap & Electronic Surveillance (Class A) Certification from the Pennsylvania State Police. The specific years when they obtained these certifications are unknown.
