Ryan Basford

Ryan Basford has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Program Manager at Jane Technologies, Inc. Ryan joined the company in November 2021.

Prior to that, Ryan worked at Tilray from 2019 to 2021. Ryan first served as a Business Development Manager, where they managed various D2C platforms and was responsible for P&Ls, product development, operations, marketing, compliance, and platform maintenance. Ryan also played a key role in the creation and implementation of scalable processes across different business units. Ryan subsequently took on the role of Associate Corporate Finance at Tilray, where they co-founded Ivyside, a CBD e-commerce platform. Ryan led the design and development of a recommendation engine and post-purchase technology.

Before their time at Tilray, Ryan Basford served in the US Navy from 2013 to 2020. Ryan held several positions, including Officer In Charge at Coastal Riverine Squadron FOUR, where they led a team of sailors, oversaw training cycles, and implemented a physical training program for Aircraft Security Team members. Ryan also served as a Platoon Commander at Coastal Riverine Squadron FOUR, taking on high-priority force protection missions and directing mission-critical repairs. Prior to that, Ryan was an Auxiliaries Officer on the guided missile destroyer USS BARRY, leading a team in maintaining and repairing shipboard auxiliary systems and preparing sailors for pre-deployment certification exercises.

Ryan Basford's work experience also includes a brief stint as an Assistant Football Coach at Naval Academy Preparatory School, where they were a position coach for Offensive Tackles and Running Backs.

Ryan Basford attended the United States Naval Academy from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics.
