Matt Wheeler

Matt Wheeler has a strong background in machine learning and software engineering. Matt is currently working as a Lead ML Engineer at Jane Technologies, Inc. Prior to that, they worked at Apple as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they were a founding member of the visual intelligence team and focused on search for web images within the Siri and Spotlight product lines. Matt also has experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at Laserlike Inc and as a Senior Software Engineer at Polyvore / Yahoo! and Polyvore. Matt began their career as a Software Engineer at Quantum Simulations, Inc. and Interscope Technologies. Matt holds a graduate degree from UCSB, where they conducted research on statistical methods using GPUs. Overall, Matt has a diverse range of experience in machine learning, data science, and software engineering.

Matt Wheeler completed their undergraduate education at UCLA from 1996 to 2000, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. Matt then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Statistics and Applied Probability at UC Santa Barbara from 2008 to 2010.
