Software Engineer at Janea

João Reis has a diverse work experience starting in 2008 at the Institute for Systems and Robotics - Lisbon (ISR-Lisbon), where they worked as a Researcher and Software Engineer in the MAIS-S Project and the SocRob Project. In these roles, they were responsible for middleware related issues, software integration, improving the Video Wall component, implementing a ROS multimaster solution, achieving a successful transition from MeRMaID to ROS middleware, and developing a software communications system based on ROS and Boost ASIO for their master's thesis.

In 2013, João founded a startup called Yellow Energy Ltd., where they served as the Founder and Software Engineer. Within this startup, they developed the server backend, implemented algorithms and infrastructure for accurate predictions and processed data to change people's relationship with energy.
