Alison M.

Alison M. has extensive experience in intelligence, research, and analysis within international contexts. Currently serving as the Director of Tradecraft and Print Production at Janes since April 2020, Alison has also held multiple leadership roles including Director Tradecraft & Subscriber Services and RFI Service Director, where a notable achievement was the creation and leadership of the Janes Request for Intelligence (RFI) Service. Prior to this, Alison worked at IHS Markit from November 2013 to April 2020, progressing from Senior Analyst to Head of Open-Source Intelligence. Alison's academic background includes an MA in International Relations & Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a BA in Japanese and Korean Studies from the University of Oxford, supplemented by various studies in Japan and South Korea. Early career experiences include roles with Korean Air, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and the European Commission, providing a solid foundation in market research, policy analysis, and international relations.
