Jangala

Jangala is a technology not-for-profit on a mission to connect marginalised and underserved people in communities globally to the internet - from healthcare clinics in the Himalayas, refugee camps in Kenya to schools in remote parts of India, Uganda and Colombia. We also deploy our Wi-Fi systems to support emergency relief workers and communities in humanitarian disasters, such as the recent Türkiye and Syria earthquakes. To date we’ve connected over 100,000 people with our easy to use award-winning technology. Our goal is to connect millions of people and communities to the internet enabling them to rise out of poverty, recover from disaster and for all of us to benefit from a more inclusive, equitable world. Jangala designs, manufactures and globally deploys our self-designed and self-developed products Big Box and Get Box from our base in the UK. These small portable Wi-Fi connectivity systems are easy to use and can transform any form of internet connectivity into scalable high-quality Wi-Fi. Big Box and Get Box eliminate the need for costly technical expertise making it easy to set-up Wi-Fi wherever it is needed. Proud to be Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge Winner; Clifford Chance SDG Award Winner 2022; IEEE Connecting the Unconnected Winner 2022; World Food Programme Humanitarian Innovator Accelerator Finalists 2023.
