Joseph Baron

Joseph Baron is the co-founder and CEO of Janus Biotherapeutics. Joseph has over 20 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to Janus, they were a Principal at Extera Partners, a venture capital firm focused on life sciences and healthcare investments.

Before joining Extera, Joseph was a Principal at Puretech Ventures, where they helped launch and finance over 30 life science companies. Joseph began their career as a Team Leader at Millennium Pharma, where they led the development of several blockbuster drugs. Joseph later moved to Booz Allen Hamilton, where they worked as an Associate in the healthcare practice.

Joseph Baron attended Harvard Business School where they earned their MBA. Joseph also attended Stanford University where they earned their MS in Engineering.
