Oleksandr Porunov

Oleksandr Porunov is a Principal Software Engineer at Mapped, an IIoT-focused US startup, where responsibilities include developing core services and managing a Ukrainian team. As a JanusGraph Committer and Technical Steering Committee member since February 2019, Oleksandr has contributed to various features and optimisations of the open-source distributed graph database. Previously, as co-founder and backend developer at JBlur, Oleksandr designed project architecture and developed scalable distributed systems for social networks. Oleksandr has participated in programming olympiads, achieving notable results with team Su-7B. Academic achievements include a Master's degree in Systems Programming and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the National Aerospace University - 'Kharkiv Aviation Institute', as well as an Associate's degree in Software Engineering.
