Japan Oil Transportation Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based transportation company mainly engaged in oil transportation through railroads and automobiles. The Company operates in three business segments. The Oil Transportation segment transports oil products including gasoline and lamp oil by railroad tank trucks and motor trucks. The High Pressure Gas Transportation segment transports high-pressure gas including liquefied natural gas (LNG) and others by railroad tank trucks, motor trucks and multimodal transportation. The Chemical Product and Containerized Transportation segment engages in the transportation of petrochemical products by railroad tank trucks, motor trucks and multimodal transportation, and the leasing and rental of containers, such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers, refrigeration and freezing containers, and others. It also engages in solar power generation business. As of March 31, 2014, it had seven subsidiaries and one associated company.
