Brian McKinney is a Senior Associate in the Energy Modeling Group at JB&B. He brings to the firm considerable experience in providing modeling services and design support for a wide array of high-profile and high-performance buildings. Prior to his career in building analysis, he worked as an architectural designer, with a focus on improving the quality of low-income housing.

With a strong background in energy analysis, daylight analysis, thermal comfort studies, and life cycle assessment, his career has arced toward a specialization in buildings that successfully leverage occupant comfort with maximum sustainability.

He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. He is an ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) and a LEED Accredited Professional.
