Benton Danner

Benton Danner has a diverse background in education, military service, and public affairs. Currently serving as a Leadership and Career Teacher at Jarrell Independent School District since August 2022, Benton previously taught 8th Grade English and coached at Jarrell Middle School from August 2015 to April 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Military Analyst at KCEN-TV and as a co-owner of Solar CenTex, Central Texas's only solar PV panel design and installation company. Benton’s military career spanned from May 1987 to April 2013, including significant positions as a Public Affairs Officer with the US Army both in Iraq and for III Corps and Fort Hood, where responsibilities ranged from public relations strategy to supervising communication teams. Benton holds multiple degrees, including a BS in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MA in Mass Communication from the University of Florida, and an MA in Philosophy from Texas A&M University.
