Jason Leach has worked in a variety of roles since 1997. From 1997 to 2001, they worked as a Surface Miner at Port Inland Operations. During this time, they were a member of self-directed work teams and was a small equipment operator responsible for safe access. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Project Engineer at MeadWestvaco, where they communicated, planned, scheduled, and oversaw projects from cradle to grave. Jason also investigated equipment problems, evaluated alternatives, implemented optimal solutions, and ensured the issues were resolved. From 2003 to 2019, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Cliffs Natural Resources. During this time, they were a Maintenance Supervisor at the Tilden and Empire Plants, a Maintenance Planner/Supervisor at the Empire Filter Bay, and a Maintenance Engineer at the Empire Plant. Since 2019, they have been a Sales Engineer at Jasper Engineering & Equipment Company, where they support customers' needs through innovative product solutions, service, and ensuring timely deliveries. Jason also leads technical efforts to ensure customer products are performing properly, and engineers industrial process equipment improvements in lubrication, pumping, and crushing to meet customer safety, maintenance, and production goals.
Jason Leach has a diverse educational background. Jason earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University between 1997 and 2002. Jason then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northern Michigan University between 2017 and 2019. Additionally, they have earned several certifications, including Bearing, Power Transmission, and Alignment from Northern Michigan University, Caterpillar Root Cause Failure Analysis from Fabco, Communications and Public Speaking from Dale Carnegie, Entry Level Vibration Analyst from Technical Associates, Gear Manufacturing and Design from AGMA, and Six Sigma Green Belt from Motorola University.
