Jonathan Ortiz

Jonathan Ortiz has over 10 years of experience in various design roles. Jonathan is currently the Director of Design at Jasper Health, where they lead and oversees the user experience of their consumer product. Jonathan is responsible for creating design guidelines, driving collaboration, and managing a team of designers. Prior to this, Jonathan worked as a Senior Product Designer at Jasper Health and a Senior UX Designer at IBM. Jonathan also has experience as a UX Designer at Numerator, where they designed and developed solutions for web apps. Jonathan's earlier experience includes roles as an instructor at Codetrotters, a freelance graphic designer at South American Restaurants Corp, a lead creative at Parallel18, a creative director at Lote 23, a graphic designer at McCann, and an intern at BBDO Puerto Rico Inc. Through these experiences, Jonathan has acquired skills in creative thinking, evaluating client needs/expectations, time management, and managing stakeholders.

Jonathan Ortiz has an Associate of Arts - AA degree from Escuela de Artes Plasticas de Puerto Rico, which was earned from 2014 to 2015. From 2009 to 2013, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Visual Arts from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science - MS degree in Master in UX: Usability, Interaction Design, User Experience and Positioning from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, starting in 2020. Jonathan also holds a certification in User Experience Circuit from General Assembly, although the specific year of completion is unknown.
