Mark McKenna

Mark McKenna is the Founder and Global Head of Event Driven Alternative Strategies at BlackRock, where they manage a suite of funds exceeding $15 billion. Previously, McKenna served as a Managing Director and Event Driven Portfolio Manager at Harvard Management Company and worked as a Portfolio Manager at Caxton Associates. Their earlier experience includes a role as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Salomon Smith Barney, advising on over $100 billion in corporate activity, and serving as a Lieutenant and Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy. McKenna is currently a Board Member at Jazz at Lincoln Center and is pursuing an MBA in Finance at New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business, alongside a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College.
