Brian Shonesy

Brian Shonesy, PhD, is an Associate Director in Clinical Development specializing in Neuroscience at Jazz Pharmaceuticals since February 2019, with prior roles as Clinical Scientist and Medical Science Liaison. Previously, Brian served as a Medical Science Liaison at Braeburn, contributing to the launch of a long-acting buprenorphine product for opioid use disorder, and as an Assistant Professor and Instructor at Vanderbilt University, where research focused on the neurobiology of endogenous cannabinoids and corresponding psychiatric diseases. Brian's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Auburn University, a postdoctoral fellowship in Molecular Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from Auburn University.
