Tomas Skacel

Tomas Skacel currently serves as Vice President, Head of Medical Affairs Europe & International at Jazz Pharmaceuticals since April 2024. Prior to this role, Tomas held various key positions at AstraZeneca, including International Medical Lead for Hematology and Nephrology in Rare Diseases, and Vice President, Head of Europe Medical Affairs in Oncology from July 2020 to April 2024. From March 2015 to July 2020, Tomas was Vice President, Head of Hematology at Takeda Oncology and previously served as Senior Director of Global Medical Affairs in Oncology. Tomas began a career at Amgen in 2003, holding multiple roles such as Medical Director for Amgen Switzerland and International Medical Director for Clinical Development in Oncology. Early experience includes a position as Clinical Research Physician at Eli Lilly in Vienna and a role as Physician at University Hospital Olomouc. Tomas earned a PhD in Oncology from Masaryk University Brno and an MD in Medicine from Palacký University in Olomouc.
