Anita Shimer

Anita Shimer, CPA, has a diverse and extensive work experience. Anita began their career in 2007 as a Graduate Teacher's Assistant at Virginia Tech, where they gained valuable teaching and research skills. In 2008, they joined KPMG as a Senior Associate - Audit, where they honed their auditing skills for two years. In 2010, Anita transitioned to JBG SMITH as a Project Accountant, and gradually advanced within the company. Anita held various roles including Senior Project Accountant, Accounting Manager, and VP of Accounting, showcasing their expertise in financial management and accounting. Most recently, Anita held the position of SVP of Accounting at JBG SMITH, displaying their leadership and strategic decision-making capabilities.

Anita Shimer, CPA, obtained their Masters degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business, where they studied from 2003 to 2008.
