Ebony Landon

Ebony Landon has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Ebony started their career as an Accounting Assistant at AASHTO in 1997 and then moved on to work as an Office Manager at Realty Management Company from 1999 to 2000. Ebony then worked as a Project Assistant at Smith Management Construction in 2000 and as a Manager of Lease Administration/Property Manager at Combined Properties, Incorporated from 2001 to 2007. In 2007, they joined Vornado Realty Trust and served as a Property Manager until 2013 when they were promoted to Senior Property Manager. From 2012 to 2018, Ebony worked as the Chief Empowerment Officer at People Effecting People. In 2014, they became a Church Administrator at New Covenant Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and also took on the role of Youth Pastor in 2015. Ebony's career in the commercial real estate industry continued in 2015 when they became a Portfolio Manager at JBG SMITH. Ebony then progressed to roles as Vice President of Commercial Property Management and Vice President of Commercial Operations before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations in 2022. Ebony's leadership skills were recognized by the IREM Northern Virginia Chapter, where they served in multiple roles including Legislative Chair, Publications Chair, IYP Chair, and Diversity Chair. Ebony eventually became the Chapter President from 2021 to 2022 and is currently the Immediate Past President/Leadership Development. Ebony's commitment to community involvement is demonstrated through their position as a Director on the Board of Directors at Women Giving Back, Inc. since 2023.

Ebony Landon's education history includes attending the University of Maryland from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Business Administration and Management. Prior to that, they studied Business Administration and Management at James Madison University from 1995 to 1997. Ebony Landon has also obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the Black Executive Leadership Program from McKinsey & Company in March 2022, Fitwel Ambassador certification from the Center for Active Design in October 2020, Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) certification from the CCIM Institute in October 2019, LEED Green Associate certification from the USGBC National Capital Region in June 2016, Certified Property Manager (CPM) certification from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in November 2009, Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) certification from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International in May 2008, and Real Property Administrator (RPA) certification, also from BOMA International, in May 2008.
