David Hardy

David Hardy has extensive work experience in the engineering and technology field. David currently holds the position of Head of Engineering Systems & IT PMO at JCB since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Engineering Consultant at Mind Foundry from 2021 to 2022, where they provided independent consultancy on AI and digital capability projects for SME companies. David also worked at Rolls-Royce, first as Head of R&D, Model Factory & Data Insight Cells from 2019 to 2020, and then as Chief of Engineering - Digital Capability Lab from 2017 to 2019. Before that, they served as Chief of Engineering - Predictive Equipment Health Management at Controls and Data Services from 2013 to 2017. David's earlier roles at Rolls-Royce include Operations & Resource Manager - Life Cycle Engineering from 2010 to 2013, Engine Health Monitoring Operations Manager - Civil Large Engines from 2007 to 2010, and Project Service Engineer - Trent 900/A380 from 2001 to 2006. David also worked as a Group Leader - Service Engineering BR700 engines at Rolls-Royce Deutschland from 1997 to 2001.

David Hardy completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council and as an MRAeS from the Royal Aeronautical Society in the year 2015. David also attended Swanick Hall, but no degree or field of study was specified for this institution.
