Linda Charmaraman

Linda Charmaraman is a consulting expert on adolescent social media and mental health at The Jed Foundation since September 2022 and also serves as a scientific advisor for Forbes Ignite since October 2020. Linda has extensive experience as a senior research scientist at the Wellesley Centers for Women since September 2006, following a role as a research scientist. Prior roles include coordinator at the Graduate School of Education, UC Berkeley, from 2000 to 2006, and graduate student instructor and researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1999 to 2004. Educationally, Linda holds a PhD in Human Development and Education from the University of California, Berkeley, complemented by various fellowships and training, including a NIH R25 trainee at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a postdoctoral research scholarship at Wellesley College focusing on child and adolescent development. Linda also earned Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, with concentrations in human development, psychology, and interdisciplinary studies.
