Rachel Wasserman

Rachel Wasserman is an experienced professional in the field of mental health and education, currently serving as a School Mental Health Specialist at The Jed Foundation (JED) since October 2024. Prior to this role, Rachel worked at the NYC Department of Education from September 2015 to September 2023, where key positions included Senior Portfolio Director and Senior School Mental Health Manager. In these roles, responsibilities included managing grant development processes, leading employee coaching, and overseeing mental health program implementation in public schools. Rachel also held positions as a School Social Worker at FEGS Education and Youth Services and East Brooklyn Access GED, and volunteered as a Youth Development Specialist for SKIP - Supporting Kids In Peru. Rachel holds an MSW in Social Work from Boston University and a BA in Communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
