Renia M. has over a decade of experience in various roles centered around learning and development, instructional coaching, and program management. Renia most recently worked as the Director of Learning and Development at The Jed Foundation, where they focused on creating educational programming. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Learning and Development at Teach For America North Carolina, where they designed leadership development programs with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Renia also served as the Director of Design Y1 & DEI for TFA NC, overseeing leadership development for year one corps members. Renia has experience as an Interim Chief Operating Officer at the Trauma Informed Institute and as an Academic Facilitator/Instructional Coach at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Renia co-founded and served as the Chief Operations Officer of overcomeHER, a company that organized events promoting female professional development. Renia also worked as a Site Coordinator at Freedom School Partners and as an Advisor/Founder for Students Advancing Vigorously for Education (S.A.V.E). Renia's early career includes a role as an Executive Assistant at Jennifer Temps, Inc. Overall, Renia has a diverse background in education, leadership development, and operational management.

Renia M. completed their Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education with a focus on History and English at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2009 to 2013. Renia then pursued a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Queens University of Charlotte, specializing in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, completing it in 2019.

Recently, in 2021, Renia M. attended Rutgers University, where they obtained a Certification in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Public Managers from Rutgers University in December 2021. Renia also holds certification as a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Alliance D-A-CH e.V., which they obtained in December 2022.

Furthermore, Renia M. acquired a School Administrator: Principal certification in July 2019 from Queens University of Charlotte and NCDPI.
