William Luna III

William Luna III is an experienced taxation professional with a robust career spanning several decades in state and local taxation. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of State & Local Taxation at Jefferies LLC since March 2010, William leads the firm's state and local tax operations. Prior roles include Senior Tax Manager and Financial Services State & Local Tax Practice Leader at Grant Thornton from November 2005 to March 2010, and Managing Member at CPA TAX SOLUTIONS LLC - FASALT CONSULTING. William’s earlier experience includes senior taxation roles at Quick & Reilly and Fleet Securities, as well as significant positions at Grant Thornton, Oppenheim Appel & Dixon, and the NYC Department of Finance. William holds a BS in Public Accounting from Fordham University.
