Dr. Chrissy Calentine

Dr. Chrissy Calentine serves as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Alamogordo Public Schools since July 2021, in addition to roles as Principal and Assistant Principal at Alamogordo High School. Since August 2015, Dr. Calentine has also contributed to New Mexico State University as a Program Specialist for the Student Success Navigator Program and as an Adjunct Faculty Member. Prior experience includes a faculty position at Alamogordo Public Schools as a Gifted Program Facilitator and Science Faculty member, teaching Advanced Placement Biology and Medical Science, and serving as a Physical Therapy Technician at Anderson Hospital Express Care from 1996 to 2003. Dr. Calentine holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Missouri St. Louis, along with a Master’s in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and a Bachelor’s in Health Education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
