Dr. Frederick Lydell Hamilton has worked extensively in community and economic development. Their most recent role was as the Director of Community and Economic Development for the Jefferson County Commission in Alabama. In this position, they oversaw the administration of various HUD programs, including grants for public facilities, infrastructure projects, housing rehabilitation, and assistance to homeless prevention agencies. Prior to this, Dr. Hamilton served as the Director of Community Development & Planning for the Southeast Alabama Regional Planning & Development Commission for 15 years. Dr. Frederick Lydell also worked as a Research Associate at Auburn University.

Public Administration degree and a Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from Auburn University, University of Oklahoma, Troy State University, and Nova Southeastern University.
