Scott Moore

Scott Moore has a significant work history primarily with the Jefferson County Commission. Scott started their career in 1993 at the Jefferson County Department of Health, where they worked as a Senior Maintenance Repair Worker until 1996. Scott then joined the Jefferson County Commission as a Principal Accountant for Revenue Accounting, a role they held for over 23 years until 2020. From 2020 to 2023, they worked at the Jefferson County Tax Collector as the Manager of Tax Collections. Currently, they are the Director of Revenue at the Jefferson County Commission.

Scott Moore attended Jefferson State Community College from 1990 to 1991 and obtained an Associate of Science degree in Accounting. Scott then enrolled at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from 1991 to 1995.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Scott Moore also holds several certifications. In 1994, they completed an Online Bloodborne Pathogens Certification Course offered by the American Academy of CPR and First Aid. In 1995, they obtained the EPA Section 608 Certification - Refrigerant Handling from the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society.

Scott Moore further enhanced their professional credentials by obtaining certifications related to their field. In 2003, they became a Certified Revenue Examiner from the Alabama Local Tax Institute of Standards and Training, as well as a Certified Revenue Officer from the Center for Governmental Services at Auburn University.

In 2007, Scott Moore achieved the ACE Level 3 Coach Certification from the Amateur Softball Association USA Softball. Scott reinforced their coaching qualifications in 2009 by obtaining the Accredited Interscholastic Coach certification from the National Federation of State High School Associations.

Lastly, Scott Moore acquired CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Academy of CPR and First Aid in 2009.
