Sarah Babcock has extensive experience in public health and administration, currently serving as the Chief Administrative Assistant for Jefferson Parish Government since April 2021. Prior to this role, Sarah held the position of Director of Policy and Communications at the City of New Orleans Health Department from November 2018 to April 2021 and managed Healthy Environments and Emergency Preparedness from March 2015 to November 2018. Experience also includes serving as Emergency Preparedness Lead at the City of New Orleans Health Department and as a Senior Human Services Program Specialist with the Florida Department of Health in St Johns County. Sarah began their career as a Special Event and Outreach Coordinator/AmeriCorps Volunteer with the Florida Department of Health Children's Medical Services. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in International Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Elon University.
