Peter Austin

Peter Austin has a strong background in healthcare administration. Peter began their career at Delta Regional Medical Center in 2005, serving as Director of Finance before transitioning to a role as Vice President of Physician Practices. In 2012, they moved to Jefferson Regional Medical Center as Vice President of Physician Practice Management. Peter then joined Piedmont Athens Regional in 2015 as Executive Director of Physician Practice Operations. Currently, Peter serves as Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Peter Austin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Millsaps College in 1997. Peter later completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Mississippi - School of Business Administration from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Peter Austin obtained certifications as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) from the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2012 and as a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) from the American College of Medical Practice Executives in 2009.
