Ravi Venkatachalam has worked in various roles in the biotechnology industry since 2011. Ravi started as a Teaching Assistant at New York University in 2011, then worked as a Research Assistant and Research Intern at SyntheZyme LLC in 2012. In 2013, they became a Bioprocess Tech at Genentech, where they were part of a manufacturing team involved in production of drugs for Rheumatoid arthritis and Cancer. In 2014, they joined Jeneil Biotech Inc as a Production Manager, where they were responsible for planning and executing fermentation processes for producing natural food flavors and probiotics. Ravi also designed and directed fermentations in large scale tanks and developed methodologies for technology transfer of processes from Pilot to Commercial-scale manufacturing production. Ravi then became the Pilot Plant Manager at Jeneil Biotech Inc, where they were responsible for planning and executing fermentation processes for producing organic food flavors and probiotics. Finally, they worked as a Research Scientist at Jeneil Biotech Inc, where they planned and executed fermentation processes for producing natural flavors and probiotics for food items. Ravi also designed and directed bench experiments to determine the scale of production methods that optimize product yield and minimize production costs, and developed methodologies for transferring procedures or biological processes from laboratories to commercial-scale manufacturing production.
Ravi Venkatachalam received a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from DY Patil University in 2011 and a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from New York University in 2013.
