Chris Bernard

Family Services Director at Jeremiah Program

Chris Bernard is currently the Family Services Director at Jeremiah Program. Prior to that, they were the Operations Director at YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, the Job Skills Instructor at The Salvation Army, and the Associate Executive Director at YMCA. They have also been the Executive Director of Operations at Jim Montgomery Swim School.

Chris Bernard has been spearheading program growth annually through new youth development programs and healthy living initiatives such as continued growth in our anti-bully, swim to safety, and LIVESTRONG. They also created a new program development committee to oversee the programmatic growth and helped implement proper policies to better serve members. In addition, Chris directed partnership with SEER Analytics to improve program quality & member engagement. Lastly, they provided leadership through the Activate America initiative to better understand and reach health seekers in Central Texas.

Chris Bernard has a Master's degree in Social Work from Baylor University. Chris also has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from Baylor University. In addition, they have a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Florida. Chris is currently an EMT-B at the Florida Medical Training Institute.

Chris Bernard reports to Karla Benson Rutten, Executive Director, St. Paul. Chris Bernard works with and Natasha Johnson-Mills - Operations Manager.
