Monita Bell

Director, Content Strategy at Jeremiah Program

Monita Bell is currently the Director of Content Strategy at Jeremiah Program. Monita has over 10 years of experience working in various roles in the field of education. Monita began their career as an Instructor of English at Auburn University in 2009. After two years, they moved to Alabama State University where they taught composition, grammar, world literature and creative writing courses for one year. In 2010, they began working as an Online Writing Tutor for SMARTHINKING, Inc. where they tutored students of all levels on their writing assignments. In 2013, they transitioned to Learning for Justice, where they served as the Associate Director, Editorial for eight years. In their current role at Jeremiah Program, they are responsible for leading the organization's content strategy and creating meaningful content that engages and inspires their audiences.

Monita Bell completed their undergraduate degree at Alabama State University, where they majored in English. Monita then went on to complete their Master's degree in English at Auburn University.

Monita Bell reports to Chastity Lord, President & CEO. They work with Alison Carter Marlow - Executive Director, Boston, Dale Bryant - Director of Technology, and Laetitia Mizero Hellerud - Executive Director, Fargo.
