Rossana Villaflor

Rossana Villaflor is a seasoned Visual Arts Specialist with nearly a decade of experience in the Jersey City Public Schools, recognized as "Teacher of the Year" for the 2021-2022 school year. As the co-founder and program director of the Community for Urban Dance & Art, Rossana has contributed significantly to arts education in the community since 2008. Previous roles include Director of Educator Support at the Community for Education Foundation and various positions as an artist in residence and mentor at organizations like AmeriCorps and the Jersey Explorer Children's Museum. Rossana holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Art Teacher Certification from New Jersey City University and has pursued further studies at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
