Jessie Ball duPont Fund
Laura Phillips Edgecombe serves as the Principal for Downtown Public Spaces at the Jessie Ball duPont Fund in Jacksonville, a role initiated in October 2023. In this capacity, Edgecombe operates as an Executive on Loan to the City of Jacksonville, collaborating with the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services and the Downtown Investment Authority to enhance the activation of Downtown public spaces. Previously, Edgecombe held various leadership roles, including Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships at Build Up Downtown (2021-2023) and Director of Catering, Events & Community at The Bread & Board (2018-2021). Edgecombe was also a JAX Chamber Hightower Emerging Leader Fellow in 2022 and participated in the Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2024. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral and Communication Sciences from the University of Florida, earned in 2003.
