Claire Painter has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Claire is currently the Head Of Business Development at JET Charge since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Mentor at EnergyLab starting in 2018. From 2020 to 2021, Claire served as the Corporate Communications Manager at Mercedes-Benz Australia and also held the role of EQ Charging Infrastructure Manager from 2018 to 2020. Claire was a member of the Cities Power Partnership Advisory Panel at Climate Council from 2018 to 2019. Claire has also worked at ClimateWorks Australia as an Implementation Manager from 2017 to 2018 and as a Project Manager from 2015 to 2017. In addition, they have been a Climate Colab Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017 and a Senior Associate at Climate Policy Initiative from 2014 to 2015. Claire began their career at the Department of Industry as a Business Development Manager in AusIndustry from 2009 to 2014 and as a Graduate Project Officer in 2009. Claire also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Climate Policy Initiative in 2013.

Claire Painter pursued their Bachelor's degree in Communications and Tourism from Monash University, which they completed between 2004 and 2007. Later, they enrolled in Monash University again to pursue a Master's degree in International Development and Environmental Analysis from 2007 to 2011.
