Eugene Petrenko

Eugene Petrenko is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience at JetBrains since October 2004. Currently serving as the Department Lead of IDE Services, Eugene oversees the creation of IDE services focused on enhancing development productivity, compliance, AI, and operational management. As the Toolbox Enterprise Development Lead, Eugene successfully launched a suite of integrated services to optimize the use of JetBrains IDEs for business development teams. Previous roles include IntelliJ Developer, where Eugene contributed significantly to the IntelliJ codebase, and Developer Advocate in Kotlin, engaging in various educational initiatives. Eugene's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Master's Degree from Saint Petersburg State University, where earlier contributions to electronic scientific journals were also made.
