Vinicius Schettino

Vinicius Schettino has worked as a software engineer since 2013. Vinicius started as a Lead Software Engineer at Icarus Ocupacional, where they were responsible for leading the development and migration of the main product, as well as introducing the team to software testing, SonarQube, GitLab and other tools. In 2014, they moved to Smarti9 as a Software Development Coordinator, where they designed, managed and deployed several projects on smart grids, I&T and API integration. In 2016, they became an Independent Consultant, working with teams to improve their development process, performance and observability. Vinicius also drove companies towards Agile and DevOps transformation. In 2017, they worked as a Research and Development Manager at Wari - Event Solutions and as CTO at Imersa. Vinicius then joined Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora in 2017 as a Software Engineer, where they supported R&D researchers and tutored graduate/post graduate students. In 2020, they became a Lead DevOps Engineer at Passei Direto, introducing lean, DevOps and DataOps concepts on highly distributed teams. Vinicius also worked as a Backend Software Engineer at Eskolare, where they designed and maintained serverless solutions and enhanced CI/CD pipelines. Since 2021, they have been working as a DevOps Engineer at both Asimov and JetBridge.

Vinicius Schettino has a comprehensive educational background. Vinicius obtained a High School Diploma from Colégio Técnico Universitário - CTU in 2009-2011, a Bachelor's degree in Information System from Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora in 2012-2017, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora in 2017-2018, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Systems Engineering and Computer Science Program at COPPE/UFRJ since 2021.
