Timothy Ames

Timothy Ames is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in aerospace and manufacturing. Currently serving as a Propulsion Design Engineer at JetZero since January 2024, Timothy focuses on engine integration, fluid systems design, and fire detection systems for aircraft, while liaising with suppliers to manage timelines and costs. Prior experience includes a tenure at Boeing as a Design Engineer, where Timothy validated certification requirements and managed fleet issues, among other responsibilities. Timothy also held roles at Triumph Aerostructures: Vought Aircraft Division, where leadership in manufacturing engineering for major aircraft components was demonstrated, and at PCB Piezotronics, where process improvements and failure analysis were key tasks. Timothy holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, as well as ongoing education towards a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management.
