Florian Bootsman

Florian Bootsman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy advising and research within the fields of youth welfare and psychiatry. Currently serving as a Beleidsadviseur at Jeugdzorg Nederland since March 2020, significant prior roles include Beleidsmedewerker at Kenniscentrum Kinder- en Jeugdpsychiatrie and Onderzoeker at the Research and Documentation Centre (WODC) where critical contributions were made to juvenile offender treatment options. Florian completed a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Neuroscience at Utrecht University, with research focused on the genetic and environmental influences in bipolar disorder. Florian has presented research findings at several international conferences and has held various roles in neuroimaging and psychological assessments, showcasing expertise in data analysis, teaching, and advisory capacities in mental health interventions.
