Jason Nelson

Jason Nelson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in web development and community service. Currently serving as a Senior Front-End Drupal Developer at Jewelers Mutual Group since February 2024, Jason also holds positions on the City Council and as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the City of Kaufman since July 2022. Previous roles include Senior Web Developer at Insite, Lead Web Developer at Brookshire Grocery Company, and User Experience Engineer at Resideo. Jason's career began with significant roles at the Texas House of Representatives, serving as Chief of Staff and Legislative Aide. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations from Middle Tennessee State University and further education from The University of Texas at Austin.
