Daniel Carmel-Brown began their work experience in 2005 as the Centre Manager at Redbridge Jewish Community Centre. Daniel then joined Jewish Care in 2008 as the Assistant Director of Fundraising, later becoming the Director of Fundraising & Marketing in 2011. Finally, in July 2018, they were appointed as the CEO of Jewish Care.
Daniel Carmel-Brown attended Ilford County High School from 1986 to 1991. Daniel then pursued a Diploma of Higher Education in Informal & Community Education from the University of Canterbury, UK, which they completed from 1998 to 2001. In 2010 and 2011, they enrolled in Hult Ashridge, where they completed the Aspiring Leaders program in Organizational Leadership.

We are the largest provider of health and social care services for the Jewish community in the UK. Every week, we touch the lives of 10,000 people. We can only do this thanks to our amazing professional staff of 1,500 and the 3,000 dedicated volunteers who help make our work possible. We provide services to: Older people People with mental health needs Holocaust survivors People with dementia People who care for others who have a variety of needs – e.g. mental health, older people, people with disabilities People with MS, Parkinson’s, strokes and those who are visually impaired People who are bereaved and those recently separated We also provide youth leadership opportunities, recreational, educational, and cultural programmes, as well as half-term schemes.
