David M. Rosenberg

Liaison to the Orthodox Jewish Community at Jewish Child And Family Services

David M. Rosenberg has a diverse work experience in the field of Jewish education and community outreach. David M. started their career as a Rabbi at Congregation Beth Tefilah in London, Ontario from August 1992 to August 1997. David M. then served as the Executive Director of the Johanna & Herman H. Newberger Hillel Center at the University of Chicago from August 1997 to June 2006. During their time at Hillel, they were responsible for the overall management and leadership of the center.

In October 2006, Rosenberg joined the Board of Jewish Education of Metropolitan Chicago as an Educator. In this role, they taught various courses on Jewish education to parents, teachers, and other individuals. David M. also served as an Instructor for the Florence Melton core curriculum and Scholars Curriculum courses.

In March 2007, Rosenberg joined JCFS Chicago as the Coordinator of Jewish Educational Services. In this position, they oversaw the JCFS Knapp Yeshiva, managing external relations, admissions, and curriculum development. Additionally, they served as a resource for diverse programs within the agency, including counseling, working with special needs children, and community integrated living arrangements. David M. was an active member of JCARES, a coalition addressing domestic abuse, and was chosen as the JCARES 2009 MVP.

In June 2012, Rosenberg took on the role of Liaison to the Orthodox Jewish Community at JCFS Chicago.

Rosenberg also had a brief role as Faculty Development at the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning from 2008 to 2009.

David M. Rosenberg's education history is as follows:

From 1976 to 1979, they attended Newton North High School.

From 1979 to 1983, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian & East European Studies at Yale University.

From 1986 to 1987, they studied Talmud and Rabbinics at Yeshivat HaMivtar.

From 1987 to 1992, they attended Yeshiva University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Bible and also received Rabbinical Ordination.

From 2007 to 2009, they attended the Mandel Teacher Educators Institute. The degree and field of study for this program is not provided.
