Jewish Family and Children’s Services of San Francisco
Dr. Merav Berger serves as the YouthFirst San Mateo Regional Director at Jewish Family and Children's Services of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, and Sonoma Counties since October 2022. As a Jewish Education Consultant and Workshop Facilitator since 2010, Dr. Berger has led various professional development seminars and engaged with a diverse population through psychodramatic practices. In addition to directing the Hagigah program at Beth Am Synagogue and working as an educator at The Kitchen, Dr. Berger mentors teens with BBYO and has held positions at Jewish LearningWorks and South Peninsula Hebrew Day School. With a Ph.D. in Expressive Arts Therapies from Lesley University, alongside a Master’s in Expressive Arts Therapy and a Bachelor's in Acting from Boston University, Dr. Berger combines creativity and education to foster Jewish values and leadership in youth.
